Paragon Perspectives

We at Paragon Financial Advisors value the relationships we’ve built with you, our trusted clients and friends. We are driven to improve our services and ourselves in delivery of those services. To that end, we follow trends and new developments that add value through increasing the client experience and/or increasing internal efficiencies. The landscape of financial planning in the future will include continued implementation of technology to deliver an improved client experience and better monitoring of the plan. Embracing technology and working it into our internal processes and planning processes will allow us to better serve you over time.

Where we’ve been:

You’ve seen some of the changes visibly including the change to our name from Paragon Advisors, LLC to Paragon Financial Advisors. Along with our name change we’ve introduced a new logo, stationary and signage at our building.

Our quarterly newsletter was added in 2012 so that you can hear from each of the principals on a regular basis. The newsletter is one way to share information about trends in the stock market, the economy and the financial planning arena. We will continue to work with the newsletter to ensure it is relevant to issues that affect you.

While there have been significant changes visibly, we also wanted to make you aware of other great improvements we are making behind the scenes.

Review process—As part of our succession planning efforts we include two advisors when possible in all client review meetings. During the span of a year, specific subject matter will be covered during each review meeting in addition to periodic discussions about investments and the markets. Changing this process will allow us to continually keep your financial planning matters up to date as best as possible.

Paperless filing—Files are kept paperless and backed up offsite to ensure safety of information and seamless office management. Because the system is web based, we can access files to continue working despite our geographic location allowing us to take care of urgent matters even if we are out of the office on business during the work week.

Disaster recovery—We continue to work on internal processes to improve our ability to function should a disaster occur. Our goal is to maintain the ability to communicate with you and operate normally in the event that our physical office is compromised. Technology improves our ability to meet this goal through web based services, and backups of our server information to offsite facilities.

Where we are going:

Website—The next step in our evolution is our new website. The team at Paragon has been working to make certain the new website will be useful for both current clients and prospects. It will be a website we feel confident in presenting to you and sharing with others.

Blog—In the near future we intend to begin adding our newsletter to the website in addition to mail or email to allow multiple ways to access the information.

Vault—Before the end of the year, we hope to have a client login area on the website where you can gain access to reports that we discuss in our review meetings. In addition, we will be able to post other items here as needed for those interested. As one example, consider our current client review process. Right now, we call you to schedule a meeting. If there are items needed we ask for them ahead of the meeting or during the meeting. We cover the agenda during the meeting. The client portal will allow us to post the agenda for the review meeting a day or two in advance showing the updated documents we need. You could upload them into the vault so we can review it prior to the meeting to facilitate a more fruitful discussion during the meeting.

Social Media—We will be trying our hand at bringing you information in more ways than mail, phone, email and meeting. If you use social media, be sure to find us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
